If there's
such a thing as a glass ceiling for women in business,
Diane Gulaboff from Dalgety Bay hasn't found it
- and if she does she'll probably power wash it!
Last year Diane went into
business with her own company AquaSEAL Renovation
Ltd, a process invented by AquaSEAL Preservation, of renewing
roofs of all kinds.
The Service was introduced from Australia by AquaSEAL
Preservation Ltd and can be carried out on slated,
tiled or metallic roofs by power washing and conserving
them with sealant preservatives |
The life of
the roof is extended by the process if it is carried
out as a precautionary measure and before there
is too much visible damage. After
nearly a year in the business, Diane is celebrating
by relaunching. A year of packing in experience
of running a company of her own has taught her
a lot and now she's ready to apply her skills
to a completely new approach.
Diane is to buy rather
than hire equipment and employ her own staff rather
than use sub-contractors. Part funding, marketing,
training and support provided by the Small Business
Gateway.

The fifty-five
year old director struck out on her own relatively
late in her working life .. She is grateful for
the help and support of Women into the Network and
business adviser Sonia Macpherson Diane
said "I had a lot of middle management experience
in the voluntary sector before AquaSEAL but being
my own boss was a new experience".
